I'm in IT networking and its a trade of sorts. Some jobs like degrees but almost all of them substitute experience or certifications for a degree. I started making 35/year and in 3 years was making 65. I got some more certificates and am currently making 95 with no benefits and have an offer on the table for 100 w.
