Stock trigger weight for glock

Remember if your pistol weighs 2 lbs loaded, and you have an 8 pound trigger pull, it will take 4 times the loaded weight of the the handgun to make it fire. I've never liked the stock Glock trigger, and immediately either modify or switch them out. I think that (for my purposes), 2.5-3 lbs without scratchy pretravel is just perfect. The factory trigger of Glock handguns has a pull weight of 5.5 lbs, which is not always suitable for everyone. Changing to a new and improved trigger aids with accuracy and handling of the weapon. However, you must always look for the quality, compatibility, adjustability, and ease of installation with a trigger guard before buying one. The Glock trigger is an exemplary stock trigger and in my opinion does not need any help or improvements. It is already light and clean on the break at 5.5lb and doesn’t require anything special to run them well. A mil-spec AR-15 trigger is supposed to be in the 4.5 – 5.5 lb range. My stock Colt 6920 measured 5 lbs 4 oz at the tip, and 8 lbs 6 oz in the center of the trigger – over a three lb difference. Likewise, a Gen 3 Glock 17 with a standard connector and 5 lb spring is advertised with a trigger pull weight of 5.5 lbs.

It is designed to give a lighter and smoother trigger pull than factory. This is accomplished by precise manufacturing processes and pre-polishing of the key

I think maybe I am the only one who like's the factory trigger or just so I thought NY-1 brings the trigger pull weight up to 8lbs? NY-2 12lbs?

Stock Glock with 25 Cent Trigger Job & 3.5 lb Connector. Let’s establish a baseline trigger. Many will say to get a better Glock trigger you just have to shoot it. And they are right. Thousands and thousands of rounds (or dry-fire) will polish up the internals and make the trigger much better. When fitted with a standard connector and springs, new, out of the box, Glock pistols usually demonstrate a trigger pull weight between 5.5 and 6.5#'s when measured from the center of the trigger's face. The G42/43 is more than manageable without changing the stock trigger spring and it will keep the trigger smooth from start to finish. If you’re determined to reduce the trigger pull weight to below 4lbs, then by all means, change the trigger spring.
